February 3 - 7 is National School Counseling Week, highlighting the tremendous impact school counselors have in helping students achieve academic success. School counselors also provide supports for students' mental, physical, and emotional health. Selmaville is blessed to have one of the best around - Ms. Jenna Tate!
Ms. Tate's mission is to help students thrive so they can become the best version of themselves. She is empathic, kind, patient, real, and one of the best listeners around. Since joining Selmaville, Ms. Tate has implemented numerous programs within the school. "Be the Yellow" is a campaign that focuses on kindness and putting others first. Ms. Tate also oversees the Rocket Closet that provides clothing for students in need as well as the Rocket Food Pantry. Ms. Tate works with the Ministerial Alliance to get food for our students as well. Last, she works with Coach Greene, SCHS Athletic Director/Head Football Coach to bring SCHS student athletes and positive roll models to our school for our students.
As a past graduate of Selmaville, Ms. Tate bleeds purple. During this week, please help us thank her for her endless love for our students and families.
Ms. Tate - you are a blessing to our Selmaville family. Happy National School Counseling Week!
