6th & 7th grades walked into their last Careers & Art project by exploring one of Nike’s most iconic designers. They learned a little about his career path and his abilities! Tinker Hatfield has been the creator of multiple Air Jordans, therefore in Art class they used color theory to design and mold their own Nikes!! They did so amazing, I had to share a few!!!

We're thrilled to announce that Selmaville CCSD 10 has appointed Mrs. Brittany Boldt as our new superintendent, bringing a wealth of experience and passion for education to our district! With a remarkable background in educational leadership and a commitment to student success, Mrs. Boldt is set to lead us into a bright future.
Mrs. Boldt joins us from the Lawrence County Community School District, where she served as Assistant Superintendent and Parkview Junior High Principal/District-Wide Curriculum Director for the past three years, demonstrating her dedication to fostering excellence in education. Before her role as Assistant Superintendent and Parkview Junior High Principal/District-Wide Curriculum Director, she excelled as the Preschool for All Director for the Regional Office of Education, showcasing her early childhood education and development expertise.
She is ready to hit the ground running and has this to say about the opportunity at Selmaville; “My family and I are elated to be joining the Rocket family. I’m honored to be given the opportunity to serve within this district alongside so many wonderful people. My heart is full and my smile is big but my gratefulness is exploding.”
As we embark on this new chapter with Mrs. Boldt at the helm, we are confident that her vision and leadership will inspire our educators, support staff, students, and families alike. Due to school dismissing at 1 pm today, all extra curricular activities are also cancelled. The Wax Museum will be held tomorrow at 1:30.
Out of abundance of caution, Selmavile will be dismissing early because of the impending storms. We are releasing at 1:00 pm.

Thursday, May 9 is be the yellow day. Be The Yellow was created by Adam Peterson in 2014 to honor a beloved teacher who lost her battle to cancer and impacted his life positively with her kind spirit. More than 35 states and 8 countries celebrate the Yellow Day campaign which promotes kindness and reminds us to seek out people who make our days brighter or more yellow!
Monday, May 13 is wear purple day! Not only is our school color purple but being a purple person has a special meaning as well. Purple people are kind and hardworking, they love to laugh, exercise their curiosity and be inspired. Let's make our school purple in more ways than one!

Congratulations to our boys and girls track teams! The boys took 3rd place today, and the girls are your 2024 Region 6 Champions!!!
The girls advanced to state in 10 out of 14 events while the boys qualified in 6 events. Congratulations to all our athletes and good luck to state qualifiers!
