Happy International Dot Day! WEAR DOTS ON MONDAY! Wear one circle dot or wear all the polka dots, it doesn't matter. Just wear dots if you can! Help spread some good in your day by celebrating today! Art teachers and teachers alike around the world are celebrating today. My Art classes this week will be exploring dots by reading "The Dot" and getting artsy with dots! International Dot Day on September 15 gets your creative juices flowing. Established to celebrate creativity, courage, and collaboration, the celebration is easily one of the most fun days of the year! Celebrated by both children and adults, International Dot Day is a day to connect, collaborate, and create. It's also a great day to foster self-expression. I CHALLENAGE EVERYONE TODAY TO "Make your mark!" - Mrs. Eastin

It's always a great day to be a Rocket but it's an even BETTER day to be a Rocket WITH the WILDCATS! We would love to thank Coach Green and the Wildcats from SCHS for welcoming our Selmaville students and staff to school this morning. The students loved every second of it. We think the Wildcats did too. 🚀 💜💚

Selmaville School now has a Kindness Rock Garden. Students who attended summer school made the garden for all students to use. The Kindness Garden has Kindness Rocks.. Each rock has one small message at just the right time! Take one, share one, or add one.

Wildcat day is on Thursday, August 29th at Selmaville School. Wear Red or Green or your Wildcat gear next Thursday. The SCHS football team will be hear to greet students in the morning.

Buy tickets for a night of baseball and fun with the Gateway Grizzlies. Our very own, Josi Thorsen, designed the jersey that the Grizzlies will be wearing. We are very proud of Josi! Come watch her throw the first pitch! See the flyer for information.

Morning Drop Off Updates - For security purposes, all doors surrounding the building will be locked every day, all day. All students need to be dropped off at the elementary entrance/exit every morning. Students will only be entering through the junior high doors AFTER 8:10 AM Monday through Friday where they will need to check in with the office secretary. At that point, students will be signed in and sent to class with a tardy pass. Please remember school begins each day at 8:00 AM. PreK through 4th grade will be meeting in the cafeteria every morning and then dismissed to class with their teacher. 5th - 8th grade will be meeting in the big gym then dismissed to their teacher by class. We are encouraging all parent(s)/guardian(s) to walk their child to the front entrance of the elementary building each and every day (if you so choose); however, for the safety of all students, we need each of you to give your child(ren) hugs, high fives, and see you laters outside. We appreciate your understanding with these changes.

Selmaville School is lucky to have a newly painted and finished gym floor. The kids enjoyed PE class today! All students need inside PE shoes at school. Students also need to wear appropriate shoes while participating in PE outside. Inside shoes cannot be worn outside. When students wear sandals, crocs, or boots, please send a pair of tennis shoes to wear during PE time. We appreciate your efforts in helping keep our new gym floor beautiful!

Selmaville faculty and staff are very excited to welcome students back on Wednesday, August 14th. As a reminder, we will be hosting an open house Tuesday, August 13th, from 4:00-6:00 PM. We will begin the open house in the gymnasium. Please feel free to bring your child's school supplies and meet their new teacher. Lastly, if you have not yet registered your student, please do so as soon as possible. We look forward to a great school year!
